Brand SA
***Within DTI, the Brand SA team is responsible for protecting and strengthening the State Brand, ensuring it is grown as a key asset across government industry and community. The team works to increase awareness and shape positive perception of South Australia, enhancing the state's appeal as a place to do business and guiding consumer choice towards South Australian products, produce, experiences and services.


The Role:

***The Digital Communications Officer is responsible for the development and delivery of Brand SA's digital and content strategy to support the presence, growth, and engagement with the State Brand.


As a skilled and confident communicator, you will manage content across all digital platforms (including social media, website, and electronic direct mail), and bring campaigns to life across all channels.

A story-teller at heart, with a passion for digital performance, you'll seek out South Australia's best stories and determine the best ways to tell them to engage with key audiences.

As part of a small, dynamic team, you'll have the freedom and support to experiment with new ideas in digital content creation, helping shape the evolution of the State's brand.


About You:

To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities:

  • A passion for digital marketing and storytelling.
  • Initiative, creativity, and fresh ideas to bring to the Brand SA team.
  • Ability to write, edit and proofread both short and longform digital content.
  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate social media strategies, projects and campaigns.
  • Ability to analyse and measure effectiveness, make data driven decisions and optimise performance.
  • Previous knowledge and experience in the management of digital marketing or social media in a business or government environment.

Desirable Qualification:


  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Media, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Special Conditions

  • Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment. A renewal will be required every 3 years.

Remuneration:

***ASO6 - $95,588 - $101,109
