Chef:

***As a casual

Chef you will work with our clients care homes to provide well-presented and nutritious meals in a home like environment. Your passion for food along with your person-first approach will make a real difference to the life of our residents ensuring that meals and refreshments are provided to resident's that meet their individual nutritional needs and preferences. The Chef/Cook is responsible for providing services that that are in line with the Food Safety Program guidelines.


Duties and Responsibilities (Chef):


  • Plan and prepare well balanced and nutritious meals for our residents
  • Liaise with residents, families, and the care team to ensure residents' dietary, individual and cultural needs are met
  • Support the efficient functioning of kitchen and catering services
  • Comply with all infection control and food safety procedures
  • Perform administrative duties related to the kitchen operation such as stock taking, and food quality assessment
  • Demonstrate competency within your role to deliver optimum care including, menu planning, food storage, ordering of food products and supplies, food delivery and waste disposal.
  • Food preparation and presentation in accordance with individual resident needs.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules and ongoing cleaning practices (including spillage cleaning) are implemented in accordance with Food Handling and Hygiene Guidelines OHS and Infection control requirements

Catering Assistant:***As a casual

Catering Assistant, you will be responsible for providing quality customer service to all residents whilst also assisting with the preparation of basic food. Liaising with clients, families and staff, you are willing to initiate and participate within a team to build on ongoing improvement of services for our residents and their representatives.


Duties and Responsibilities (Catering):


  • Areas of responsibility:
  • Service delivery, coffee and food preparation in line with training, including presentation
  • Food reheating process and cooking of breakfast items
  • Resources will be used in a responsible, efficient and costeffective manner
  • Ability to assist in determine stock required
  • Restocking drinks, food or other goods as needed or directed.
  • Ensuring deliveries are stored correctly on arrival or as directed
  • Cleaning of equipment and environment as trained and/or directed
  • Set up and removal of furniture as needed or directed
  • Follow food safety documentation process and records.

Cleaner:***As a casual

Cleaner you will assist our aged care homes in maintaining the highest possible standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the residence with a strong focus on minimising health risks and maximising safety for all residents is cleaned effectively as guided by Cleaning Schedules; Infection Control Manuals; and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDA) Accountable to the Line Manager for the quality and cleanliness of the facility. The Cleaner is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness of the facility, in line with cleaning schedules.


Duties and Responsibilities (Cleaner):


  • Carrying out general cleaning within the site
  • Operating cleaning machinery (training provided)
  • Adhering to all OH&S policies and procedures
  • Be aware of and work within the AHP Vision and Philosophy of Wellbeing.
  • Provide customer service whilst understanding and respecting each resident's rights and privacy Prompt and courteous interaction with residents, families and colleagues.
