Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Advancement, the Campaign Coordinator is responsible for the design, delivery and implementation of Campaign readiness projects, planning and initiatives, which support the University's Advancement Strategy.

The role maximises preparedness for the University's inaugural comprehensive Campaign, developing and delivering Campaign-related communications, as well as leading business improvement and engagement initiatives.

This will better enable efficient business processes, both within the Office of Alumni and Philanthropy and across the University, to support a culture of philanthropy and alumni engagement, in line with the goals of the Advancement Strategy.


This includes:

  • Developing, implementing and reporting on a Campaign communication plan, including a compelling Case for Support
  • Supporting Campaign readiness through project work, research and targeted messaging
  • Initiating and coordinating a range of projects supporting Campaign Readiness
  • Promoting and facilitating best practice Campaignrelated activities, systems and processes


This Fixed Term position is full time until Dec 2025 at a HEW 7 Higher Education Level and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal and Worimi land).

About the Unit


The Office of Alumni and Philanthropy (OAP) sits within the Global Engagement and Partnerships Division and leads the implementation of the University of Newcastle's Advancement Strategy.


The practice of Advancement (alumni and philanthropic engagement) plays a key role in the delivery of _Looking Ahead_, the University of Newcastle Strategic Plan , and achieving its goals.

The OAP comprises four teams, being Alumni Programs, Community Fundraising and Donor Relations, Philanthropy and Advancement Operations.
