AISNSW) as a Leadership Consultant in the Leadership Centre.


We are seeking a full or part-time Leadership Consultant with expertise in school leadership and the development and delivery of high-quality professional learning.

The Leadership Centre, which sits within the Leadership and Learning portfolio at
AISNSW seeks to develop authentic, purposeful and visionary leaders for Independent Schools.

This is done through contemporary and rigorous professional learning facilitated in career stage programs, masterclasses, school-based engagements, and bespoke programs and services.


What will you do?


The successful applicant will join a thriving team and work collaboratively to design, develop and deliver high quality professional learning for school leaders.

You will support the development of leadership capability at all stages of the leadership journey and design learning specifically for leadership in the Independent School sector.

The work is dynamic and undertaken in various locations and modes, including face to face at the
AISNSW Conference Centre and onsite in schools as well as online.

A small amount of travel may be required.


What qualifications will you need?

  • Undergraduate qualifications in a relevant field.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of highquality professional learning.
  • Recent or current experience as an effective schoolbased educational leader.
  • Post graduate qualifications in a relevant field is desirable.

What will be your key responsibilities?

  • The design, development, and delivery of highquality professional learning for school leaders in career stage programs, schoolbased engagements and bespoke programs and services.

What skills and attributes will you have?

  • A passion for supporting the development of leadership capability in individuals, teams and schools.
  • A thorough understanding of current educational leadership research and contemporary approaches to leadership in practice.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness as an engaging and clientcentred facilitator of adult learning.
  • Ability to design, coordinate and implement effective professional learning in the leadership domain.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications in the area of education. Educational leadership or businessbased qualifications will be highly regarded.
  • Strong commitment to ongoing learning and improving your professional practice.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaboration, teamwork, balancing competing priorities and communicating in a range of contexts.
  • Effective communication in both oral and written form, appropriate to context.
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills.
  • MS Office proficiency.

What we need:


  • Fulltime or parttime availability, Sydneybased role.
  • Capacity to work within the office environment.
