THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the Head of Marketing ANZ, you will own the Customer Marketing strategy.

In owning the Voice of the Shopper, you will leverage data and insights to drive best-practice Customer Marketing and shopper activation, develop and benchmark best practice customer sales growth programs, events and activations whilst looking to create efficiencies through continual improvement.


You will collaborate with key retail partners, DIY and hardware National Accounts, as well as internal stakeholders to bring customer joint account plans, product innovation, and brand plans to life.

In doing so delivering growth through awareness, consideration and conversion initiatives that reach Small & Medium Builders through our customer ecosystems and encourages them to specify and build with James Hardie products.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and coach a team of professionals to build capability and drive effective and efficient customer marketing programs to drive category sales growth and accelerate awareness and adoption of new products.
  • Work closely with the sales teams to drive best practice implementation to achieve sales revenue and product mix targets.
  • Develop an annual Customer marketing plan, ensuring clear demonstration of value aligned to key Customer growth objectives.
  • Deliver shopper focused, integrated marketing campaigns that drive engagement, expansion and retention.
  • Partner cross functionally to design and implement campaigns and execution plans for priority Customers.
  • Leverage James Hardie brand campaigns to drive category growth and create value for key accounts and builders.
  • Develop a sound understanding of customer owned marketing touch points (digital & physical) and customer selling teams to scale and amplify mutually beneficial messaging
  • Ensure messaging and positioning in partner marketing campaigns aligns with James Hardie brand positioning
  • Develop a sound understanding of our customers' customers (Builders) to connect consumer demand to Builders and drive sales for their stores
  • Drive process improvements leveraging Shopper Marketing best practices, to accelerate awareness, consideration and conversion
  • Oversee budget management of comarketing and smarter partner fund utilisation in conjunction with the Sales teams to drive greater efficiency and ROI

ABOUT YOU:


  • Degree qualified in a related business or industry field
  • Experience in Trade Retail, Hardware, Building or the Construction industry strong is strongly preferred
  • Customerobsessed, datadriven and detailoriented
  • Proven ability to impact customer buying behaviours, including increased conversion and sell through
  • Leverage category data and new product innovation to generate category sales opportunities for the customer through effective collaboration with the sales team
  • Polished and engaging presenter who can drive long term partnership and integration with key customers
  • A strategic Commercial leader who has set strategies that have had a significant impact on the growth of an organisation
  • B2B and B2C Marketing experience and expertise in the full range of marketing activities
  • Strong influencing skills with a modern humanistic leadership style
  • Exceptional business financial/commercial acumen
  • Effectively managing one's time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently while managing multiple critical projects
  • Organisation, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Analytical mindset with strong quantitative reasoning, creativity and the ability to think strategically about complex issues
  • Technically minded with the ability to translate and distil value propositions and make an impact at the point of sale
