Our large NSW State Government client covers comprehensive corporate governance frameworks and policy, regulating health facilities and the supply and administration of therapeutic goods.

The Role

They are currently seeking a highly motivated and diligent Policy Officer to join their team in St Leonards with flexibility to work remotely from home Thursday and Friday.

This is an estimated 3month temporary assignment, with a potential to extend.


Working within a team of 4 and working closely with another policy Officer, you will be required to coordinate and undertake programs, projects and activities research and provide advice in relation to intergovernmental issues.


Responsibilities

  • Answer enquiries, providing timely and accurate responses
  • Provide advice and support to Government branches and departments
  • Prepare high quality written advice in the form of reports, briefs, policy and discussion papers
  • Accurate minute taking and exhume key points
  • Manage shared inbox, directing accordingly
  • Records and database management ensuring high integrity, accuracy and confidentiality
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and policies
  • Ensure compliance with best practice and legislative requirements

About You

  • Demonstrated Policy, Support and Administration experience
  • Problem solver
  • Previous experience within a complex/sensitive environment
  • Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS office suite
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and multitask competing deadlines/timeframes
  • High attention to detail

Requirements:


  • Willingness to complete a National Police Check
  • Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
