The Company
Our client is a new venture that manufactures, distributes and sells high-performance branded products on a global basis.

The business is facing significant challenges in the market and as they navigate through this crucial phase, they are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team and lead the financial turnaround efforts.


This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic finance leader to play a pivotal role in revitalizing the business and driving the Company towards sustainable growth and profitability.

The Company has the backing of well-known and experienced investors who are committed to ensuring the success of the Business.


Role Overview:


You will collaborate closely with a newly incorporated executive team of seven, providing strategic financial guidance and implementing robust financial management practices.

Your expertise and leadership will be critical in restoring the business to financial health, optimizing operations, and positioning the Company for long-term success.


Extending further, the role will also include modelling and capital raising (debt & equity), and ensuring Information Technology (including the ERP) are positioned to support the growth of the Company.

This is a true commercial CFO role that will be instrumental in the success of the Company


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and execute a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the Company's business goals and market realities.
  • Conduct a thorough assessment of the financial situation, identifying areas of improvement, costsaving opportunities, and revenue enhancement.
  • Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and planning processes to align with the turnaround objectives.
  • Optimize working capital management, inventory control, and pricing strategies to improve cash flow and profitability.
  • Implement financial controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks, enhance transparency, and ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify operational inefficiencies and implement costsaving measures.
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury operations to support our financial objectives.
  • Manage all corporate debt funding requirements as well as manage consumer finance services.
  • Develop procurement strategies, negotiate contracts, contract management, and oversee supplier management.
  • Provide financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting expertise to support strategic decisionmaking.
  • Analyze product profitability, pricing structures, and market dynamics to drive revenue growth and market share expansion.
  • Evaluate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and potential acquisitions to enhance our competitive position.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to the executive team for informed decisionmaking and resource allocation.
  • Strengthen relationships with stakeholders, including investors, creditors, and suppliers, to gain support and favourable terms.

You

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA, CA, or CPA preferred.
  • Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial leadership role within a turnaround situation, preferably in an early stage environment offering physical products to international markets
  • Ability and resilience to adapt in a fast growth environment and lead through change. In particular, experience in an early stage business where resources, information and time are limited.
  • Extensive knowledge of financial restructuring, cash flow management, and cost optimization strategies.
  • Exceptional negotiation and relationshipbuilding skills with stakeholders and external partners.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements, financial controls, and compliance standards as well as taxation regulations in a multinational environment
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problemsolving and decisionmaking.
