About the Role

The successful applicant will provide a specialised neuropsychology consultancy service to HNELHD Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (DACs) through districtwide training, clinical support and consultation to staff.
In addition to this, the clinical neuropsychologist in this role provides high quality, clientfocussed, evidencebased neuropsychological assessment, diagnosis and intervention to clients involved in DACS programs.
The successful applicant will be professional and have a strong understanding of legal and ethical boundaries.
You will have strong communication skills and a passion for patient centred care. A willingness to travel to provide outreach services is also required for this position.
This position is primarily supported by the General Manager of HNELHD DACS, with the Allied Health Lead as additional support for this role.

Where you'll be working

The Neuropsychology Service is based in the Hunter New England area at James Fletcher Hospital, Newcastle.
We are a part of the wider Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services team and provide outreach services as required across HNELHD district.

An eligibility list will be created for future temporary full or part time vacancies.
This position is full time; however, part time/job share arrangements may also be considered.
To be eligible for employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport, or hold an appropriate visa that allows you to live and work in Australia. Employment of a temporary visa holder will only be offered in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
