Plant Operator - CBD Day Team

Permanent Full Time Opportunity

38-hour week with a 9-day fortnight (Rostered Day Off)

Salary Ranging from $53,979.64 to $62,616.84 plus 11% Superannuation. (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)**
About the Role


You will be required to undertake a variety of operational works as part of a team in delivering routine maintenance of Council's assets and infrastructure within the Parks and Open Spaces and Central Business Districts.


You may be required however not limited to:

  • Operating small to medium sized plant machinery such as trucks, tractors, large mowing equipment, blowers, chainsaw sand other designated equipment.
  • Completing manual labouring tasks required for the maintenance of Councils Parks.
  • Carry out general landscape maintenance in Councils Parks, Open Space and CBD areas.
  • Daily maintenance checks on plant items, equipment and council infrastructure.

Essential Criteria

  • Extensive experience in similar position OR Certificate II Qualifications in relevant discipline
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work effectively within a small team environment.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience in the use of operating small and medium plant and machinery e.g. Truck, Tractor, Large Mowing equipment, blowers, chainsaws, hedger with appropriate implementation.
  • Demonstrated experience in manual labouring roles across a variety of projects in construction and maintenance.
  • Required to undertake immunisation of Hepatitis and Tetanus.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence
  • Willingness to obtain Light Rigid (LR) or Medium Rigid (MR) within 6 months' probation period.
