- Manage the Dateline budget including reports and analysis in line with the finance reporting cycle.
- Prepare risk assessments, and source advice and protocols on risk, safety and security conditions of proposed travel destinations.
- In collaboration with the production coordinator, organise all Dateline international travel requirements.
- Facilitate contractor engagement, including preparing contracts, contractor inductions, insurance, invoicing & payment.
- Coordinate translation, subtitling and video captioning.
- In collaboration with the Executive Producer, create, manage and communicate the Dateline production schedule
- Negotiate and create acquisition contracts and licenses with worldwide distributors.
- Manage three direct reports
- It is a requirement of this role that incumbents are vaccinated with at least two doses of an approved Covid-19 vaccination. We do however have a medical exemption process and we would be happy to discuss your application should this be applicable to you.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a News and Current affairs or Factual TV environment.
- Proven ability to formulate, manage and monitor budgets and reports.
- Experience in preparing and analysing risk assessments and safety /security advisories
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to negotiate suitable outcomes with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, and to problem solve.
- Foreign language skills will be highly regarded.

The Department
Dateline is SBS' award-winning international affairs TV series, producing 30 episodes a year as well as daily digital content. Working at Dateline you will be part of a dynamic team of diverse voices and creative storytellers.
