The Library is seeking to fill the newly created position of
Program Assistant, Social Media and Communications (APS 4) in the Communication and Marketing Section of the Engagement Branch.


This is an on-site role, located in Canberra.
To support the National Library's active social media program and maintain a positive brand reputation, you will provide support functions including:

  • Monitoring and reporting on social media discussion and trends, identifying and addressing any potential issues.
  • Respond effectively to enquiries as part of the moderation activities. This may include some out of hours event moderation tasks.
  • Cultivate online communities, fostering a sense of belonging among followers

  • Writing platform specific copy for social media and digital marketing strategies.
  • Ensuring monthly content calendar is appropriately populated.
