The National Library of Australia is looking to fill the crucial role of Program Manager, Technical Acquisitions - Oral History and Sound / AV (APS6) in the Collect and Acquire Section in Collection Branch.

This position is vital to the function of the Technical Acquisitions team, responsible for developing and implementing policies, techniques, and procedures related to technical production and preservation of the Library's audiovisual, oral history, and sound recording collections.

You will lead and mentor staff in using digital audio workstations and processing systems, providing expertise and technical knowledge. Liaising with digital preservation contractors and oral history interviewers, you will handle contract management, specialist technical equipment procurement, and statistical and administrative reporting.

Successful candidates must have experience in digital collection management, particularly digital acquisition, creation, and preservation of digital collection assets. Knowledge and experience in sound recording technology and logistics are highly beneficial, as well as experience in contract management and procurement. Qualifications in Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences or related fields are desirable.
