    Due to the growth in our client's portfolio of clients, an exciting opportunity has come about for a Bank Guarantees and Trade Supply Finance Officer to join this leading global corporate bank on a permanent basis.

    Prior experience within Bank Guarantees and Supply Chain Finance operations is required to be considered for this role.

    They will play a vital role in managing Guarantees/SBLCs issuances, and making sure Guarantees/SBLCs are issued in accordance with Group policies, UCP Rules, Checklists, and SOPs.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare detailed instructions for the regional Back Office to process Documentary Letters of Credit & Collection transactions
    • Manage day-to-day processing of Supply Chain Financing transactions efficiently and reconcile client inventory data in accordance with the bank's collateral management requirements
    • Undertake responsibility for reviewing, drafting, and execution of Demand Guarantees, Ensure potential risks relating to guarantee wordings are either accepted by Legal/Business or mitigated by revision, making sure all ambiguities and contradictions are addressed.
    • Review Standby Letter of Credit applications and amendments to determine workability, accurately interpret and execute instructions while complying with the bank's policy
    • Monitor and ensure all Trade Finance, guarantee, and supply chain transactions and documentation are accurately recorded and presented.
    • Maintain a strong level of awareness in terms of checking credit limit utilisation, Credit Risk Control authorisations, agreed on client conditions, applicable margin, and special requirements
    • Perform all controls in accordance with operational procedures & Group policies, and complete duty check-list on a daily basis

    Experience:

    • 3+ years of relevant experience in similar Institutional Banking Operations roles – Trade Finance, Bank Guarantee, Supply Chain Finance etc
    • Proven track records working in an Operational area handling Bank guarantees

    Technical Experience required:

    • Good understanding of Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits(UCP 600), Uniform Rules for Demand Guarantees (URDG758) and ISP98
    • Strong numerical reasoning and analytical skills
    • Experience with Swift payments system
    • Knowledge and understanding of the Australian and global banking regulatory and compliance environments
    • Experience of controls to manage Operational Risks
