Aquatics Programs Coordinator, Sydney Olympic Park Authority:


  • Ongoing Part-Time Opportunity (19 hours per week) and Talent Pool:

Sydney Olympic Park Authority are responsible for the day-to-day management of all public places, 430 hectares of parklands and 7 sporting venues.

This includes the management of buildings, facilities and landscape assets; delivery of programs and events; enhancing your experience, provision of sports and leisure facilities; conservation of water, energy and resources; protection of ecosystems, environment and heritage as well as the coordination of the precinct on a daily basis.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Aquatic Programs Coordinators to join our friendly Sports Venues Team.

This role is integral in assisting in the coordination and administration of Aquatics Programs (Holiday Programs, Schools, Birthday Parties, Squads and Swim School) at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre to ensure the provision of exceptionally high standard of programs for the benefit of all users of the Centre.


What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate all bookings and enquiries for aquatic programs in an efficient manner.
  • Assist in the management of record keeping requirements to ensure the financial viability of all aquatic programs and meeting financial targets.
  • Maintain the enrolment database for all programs and an efficient recording system.
  • Provide assistance in developing program delivery, procedures and policies to ensure all programs run efficiently and meet customer's needs.
  • Monitor all aquatics instructors to ensure a high standard of instruction and service delivery and provide feedback on performance.
  • Implement the Centre's safety procedures and guidelines to ensure the venue is safe for all users.
  • Ensure compliance with all organisational policies and procedures and legislative requirements, including WHS and Information Security

About You

Key knowledge and experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to plan, develop and coordinate a wide range of aquatic programs.
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience with teaching and providing instructions
  • Experience in using Bookings/Point of Sale software and Microsoft Office programs
  • Knowledge and commitment to the principles of Workplace Health and Safety

Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications or extensive experience in recreation or aquatic industry.
  • Current Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate
  • Current CPR/Resuscitation Certificate
  • A Working with Children Check is an essential requirement for this role. The role has been identified as requiring a check in keeping with the Child Protection (Working With Children) Act 2012
