Description

The Research Coordinator will perform a range of significant research-related activities that play a key role in supporting the delivery of research outcomes.

This includes the collection and administration of research output data and assisting research staff in the preparation of research reports as well as meeting other internal and external requirements.


The role reports through to the Manager, Research Services or the Associate Director, Academic Services in the absence of a Manager, Research Services.

This is to ensure consistency of administrative practices, working closely with Associate Dean Research and a range of research-active staff across the Schools.

Research Coordinators can expect to work across the Schools on university-wide and Academic Operations Unit wide initiatives from time to time.


About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues
  • Demonstrated experience in financial administration
  • Welldeveloped analytical, conceptual and problemsolving skills, including the ability to interpret and effectively communicate policies, strategies and procedures within a complex environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to prioritise activities, manage competing priorities respond to ad hoc and time critical requests while meeting deadlines.
  • Experience in research or contract administration, compliance and relevant processes.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree with extensive relevant executive administration experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
