ANUM to join our
Emergency Department in this
Permanent Full-Time opportunity (Part time opportunity can be discussed)

About us
John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the north west of Melbourne.

With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit the hospital provides a wide range of services to its community.

The hospital specialises in critical care service, orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, neuro surgery and gynaecology.

About the role:

This opportunity will see you lead, coach, mentor and support our busy 12 cubicle emergency department. Operating across a 24/7 roster, this role will encompass a range of shifts including

Mornings:
Afternoons:
Nights:

Your responsibilities will include:

Provide oversight to ensure the delivery of evidence based patient centred care
Maintain a safe, highperforming and sustainable unit by visibly leading a values and fostering a safetyled workplace culture.
Build strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure a collaborative team environment
Facilitate a learning culture to ensure continuous improvement
Management of all resources (Budgets, Labour hours)

Essential Criteria:

Prior leadership experience
Demonstrated nursing experience in a critical care environment
Post Graduate Critical Care Certificate
Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
Proven time management and prioritisation skills
Ability to communicate with influence
Demonstrate a sound knowledge base in labour management

Remuneration:

If you are successful, you will receive a salary as per Healthscope VIC Nurses and Midwives Agreement for years of nursing experience at the ANUM rate of $ $53.55 per hour.
