John Fawkner Private Hospital is currently seeking professional and customer focused Supply Officer to join the busy team of professionals on a casual basis.

This role may require you to work across multiple locations in our Northern Network that include John Fawkner Private Hospital (Coburg) and Northpark Private Hospital (Bundoora) and soon to be Latrobe Private hospital


Casual shifts are between Monday - Friday with the hours between 8am - 4pm, there is flexibility to discuss start and finish times.


About us:

John Fawkner Private Hospital is located in the north west of Melbourne.

With 186 registered beds, a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, 12 bed critical care complex and busy Day Procedure Unit, we provide a wide range of services to its community.

We specialise in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, gynaecology. neurosurgery, ophthalmics and vascular surgery.


Reporting directly to the Northern Network Supply Manager, this position is responsible for assisting with the supply management of hospital, focusing in operating theatres with involvement in wards and other areas within the hospital.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide exceptional customer/patient service by replenishing hospital imprest areas
  • Act as a valued member of an interdisciplinary team by promoting positive team culture, communicating and offering help to team members and liaising with other staff as required to create an experience that makes a difference.
  • Demonstrate professional practice by working according to Healthscope's policies and processes, code of conduct.
  • Maintain standards of customer service and ensure patient confidentiality and privacy are maintained at all times.
  • Supports Healthscope's safety and quality improvement and achievement of accreditation by actively participating in department meetings, audits and quality activities.
  • Ensure compliance with and participation in the National Safety & Quality Healthcare Standards.
  • Work from both Northpark Private Hospital and John Fawkner Private Hospital where needed

Essential Criteria:


  • Ability to work within constraints of a set financial budget
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Proven time management and problem solving ability
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • Experience with a computerised purchasing system (i.e. Technology One) (Desirable)
  • Previous experience in a similar role (Desirable)
  • Medical product knowledge (Desirable)
