Exciting opportunity has become available to join the recreation and sporting industry as a customer service officer located in the Northern Suburbs.

This centre plays a key role in the community, promoting sports, arts, crafts and children's activities to a wide range of people.

Are you looking to gain further experience in working with children? Perhaps you are studying Teaching, Early Childhood, Sports and Recreation or have an interest in Physical Education? Then this role might be for you


Shifts available:

Tuesday evenings 5pm to 10pm
Friday evenings from 5pm to 11pm
Either a day or evening Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 8am to 9.30pm.
Average of 2-3 shifts per week however opportunity to increase to 4-5 if willing.


Duties & Responsibilities may include but not limited to:

  • Delivers a consistently high standard of customer service.
  • Assisting the centre with daytoday operations.
  • Coordinating attendees upon arrival.
  • Coordinating Centre bookings relating to activities, programs, court usage, meeting rooms and functions.
- setting up (and packing up) courts, rooms, and function spaces for sport and recreation activities, community gatherings, activities, and events.

  • Undertake duty supervisor responsibilities in the absence of senior staff.
  • Ensure compliance with the code of conduct, council policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Open and close the centre.
  • Promote and maintain a child safe environment and take action as per Council's Child Safe Environment Policy

About you:


  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service setting is essential.
  • Experience working with or within an indoor sport and recreation facility is desirable.
  • Experience in cashiering (including Links Modular Software) is highly desirable.
  • Reliable & punctual
  • Eager to learn.

_ Must hold a valid South Australian Working with Children clearance (WWCC), formerly known as 'Child Related'

_Must have completed or be willing to complete Responding to Risks of Harm Abuse and Neglect training._
