An exciting opportunity is available to join the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) as a Policy and Research Officer within the Policy and Projects Team.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Policy and Research Officer is responsible for supporting the successful achievement of the ANZPAA Strategy and Business Plan by working across a range of work items in support of the ANZPAA Board (Board) and Australia New Zealand Council for Police Professionalisation (ANZCoPP/the Council).

The position supports the review of cross-jurisdictional products, stakeholder engagement, facilitates workshop and consultation meetings, conducts research, and assists with the development of innovative solutions.

The position is also responsible for drafting products, preparing meeting papers, briefings, reports, presentations and facilitating the administration of policy projects where required.

The Policy and Research Officer will have strong written and verbal communication skills, problem solving, critical thinking capability and workshop facilitation skills.

They will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can build trusting relationships with stakeholders and team members alike.


Successful applicants will demonstrate:

This position is full-time fixed term until 30 June 2024, with opportunity for extension beyond this date.
