Two exciting opportunities are available to join the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) as a Policy and Research Officer to assist police leaders prepare for the future.


POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Policy and Projects/Research and Innovation teams sits within the Strategy Directorate and are responsible for the research, development, review and implementation of cross-jurisdictional policies, strategic documents, and education and training products relating to a range of contemporary policing issues.

The Policy and Research Officer (Officer) is responsible for supporting the successful achievement of the ANZPAA Strategy and Business Plan and works across a range of work items in support of the ANZPAA Board (Board) and Australia New Zealand Council for Police Professionalisation (ANZCoPP/the Council).

The position assists with management of policy projects, supports workshop facilitation and consultation across Australia New Zealand policing jurisdictions, stakeholder management, research, and the development of innovative solutions with an operational policing focus.

The position is responsible for preparing briefings, reports, presentations and manages the administration of policy projects where required. Previous experience in policing or broader public service is highly desirable although not mandatory.
