We are currently looking a reliable and motivated Protection Officers who is looking for a chance to develop their skills and become part of the Rail & Transport business.


About the role:


The role of a Rail Protection Officer is to coordinate, setup and monitor the safety of rail workers and infrastructure whilst works are carried out in or around the rail corridor.

Protection Officers are required to ensure 'Safe Working' methodology is fully implemented across all rail construction and maintenance works, including detailed safe working plans for the worksite.

This ensures that rules and procedures are put in place for the safety of the worksite/workers to work on or near Rail Infrastructure


The successful applicant:


  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Rail Industry Experience at least 3 years
  • Be a qualified Protection Officer level
  • Have a Rail Industry Worker Card (RIW)
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Hold a Rail Safety Induction accreditation


  • Driver's License

  • C class
  • Competent in working to current ARTC and/or TfNSW safe working standards
  • Excellent communication skills and be able to work as part of a team.
  • Sound knowledge of construction activities
  • Knowledge of operational & isolation procedures
  • Ability to work away on roster and irregular hours.
  • Willingness to undergo medical tests as required.
