Gold Coast Light Rail has transformed public transport on the Gold Coast, helping create an integrated network that connects more people to more places in one of Australia's most dynamic and fastest growing cities.


John Holland is GoldlinQ's recommended design and construction contractor for GCLR3, to extend the existing light rail network by 6.7 kms from Broadbeach to Burleigh Heads, including eight new light rail stations, two new light rail-bus connections, and intersection upgrades along the alignment.


Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments, and the City of Gold Coast, this city-shaping project will link communities to business centres, shopping, dining, education, and medical facilities and cater to the Gold Coast's expected population growth in the coming decades.


As we begin to ramp up activities on this iconic Queensland project, we have an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to be based in one of our Gold Coast project offices.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Management of high volume onsite dockets; ensuring dockets are correctly coded, authorised and scanned to relevant folders within the project's online file structure.
  • Support Accounts Officers with processing of invoices as needed.
  • Coordinate, track and analyse the purchasing of goods. (Purchase Orders).
  • Support Accounts Officers with reconciliation of vendor accounts to statements as needed.
  • Complete vendor setup for project Suppliers and Subcontractors when required.
  • Communicate and liaise with vendors and subcontractors for administrative purposes.
  • Maintain project records, ensuring that information is accurate, uptodate and stored.
  • Provide general administrative support to project team as needed.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with John Holland policies, processes, reporting, systems and procedures.

To be successful you will have:

  • High School Certificate or equivalent experience in administration
  • 12 years experience in an office environment
  • Intermediate to advanced computer literacy skills
