This is a mobile role with paid travel, where you will travel between clients in the South East, Eastern, and North regions to deliver personalized exercise-based programs.

Roles and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of NDIS participants and elderly clients within the HCP program to understand their unique needs, medical history, and goals.
  • Design and implement individualized exercisebased programs that improve physical strength, endurance, flexibility, and balance, considering the specific conditions and abilities of each participant.
  • Utilize evidencebased exercise interventions to address specific challenges and enhance functional abilities.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and support networks to ensure a holistic approach to care and support for both NDIS and HCP participants.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions and core support to address mental health challenges and emotional wellbeing for individuals in both sectors.
  • Monitor participants' progress regularly, document outcomes, and adjust exercise programs as necessary to achieve optimal results.

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Accreditation as an Exercise Physiologist with Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
  • Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Exercise Physiology or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals with diverse abilities, preferably within the NDIS sector, and experience in aged care settings.
  • Knowledge of relevant disabilities, chronic health conditions, and their impact on physical functioning and mental health.
  • Strong assessment and evaluation skills, with proficiency in using standardized assessment tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate, motivate, and empower participants and their support networks.
  • Experience in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and working within a personcentered care model.
  • Proficient in documentation, report writing, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current research and industry trends.

Job Types:
Part-time, Casual

Part-time hours: 10-38 per week


Salary:
$ $40.00 per hour
