As a service provider to Sydney Trains, the Safety, Environment Quality and Risk (SEQR) Branch delivers support, across all areas of rail safety, environment, quality and risk in accordance with legislative and regulatory requirements of a Rolling Stock Operator (RSO) and Rail Infrastructure Maintainer (RIM).


The opportunity?


Right now we have a permanent opportunity for a Risk Specialist with system safety assurance/safety case experience to join us in in Safety Environment Quality Risk (SEQR) and play a key role in providing professional risk-related services and advice to business customers, promoting and embedding consistent and integrated risk management practices across the organisation to ensure compliance with Sydney Trains Safety Management System.

What you will be involved in:

  • Providing expert advice and guidance to business customers across a diverse range of risk related services under the Sydney Trains enterprise management systems related to safety, quality and environment.
  • Leading the development of safety assurance deliverables for complex and safety critical change.
  • Undertaking technical safety risk assessments for management to inform riskbased decisions and support demonstration that risk is reduced SFAIRP.
  • Maintaining and developing relevant project hazard logs throughout the project lifecycle to identify, record and report on issues and escalate to senior management where necessary
  • Monitoring the regulatory environment, identifying legislative and/or regulatory changes that impact Sydney Trains.

About you


You will also have technical capability of safety cases and the enterprise risk register, with the ability to facilitate that with the business for the customer you are business partnering.
