Associate Director, Applied Economics and Policy**- Would you like to lead the development of influential economic analysis to deliver better outcomes for the people of NSW?

  • Do you have extensive experience in developing strategic and evidencebased materials that demonstrate your exceptional communication and analytical skills?
  • This is an opportunity for an innovative and versatile Economist to join Investment NSW as we drive trade and investment attraction activities within the NSW Government, to maximise economic benefits and jobs growth for the citizens of NSW
  • Clerk Grade 11/12 with a starting salary of $134,411 + superannuation.
  • Permanent ongoing role based in Sydney or Regional NSW.

About the Role
Investment NSW has a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to jump on board as Associate Director, Applied Economics


This role is best suited for someone who enjoys providing high level economic analytical advice, including through the development of compelling innovative and fit-for-purpose materials that are accessible to decision makers.


About You


You can 'tell a story with data' and communicate complex economic concepts to build a compelling case, developing options and influencing decision makers.

You have successfully led projects that include economic research and analysis on a wide range of industry, regional and economic issues, and created the fit-for-purpose materials, including business cases, making the results accessible and valued

You have demonstrated project management, stakeholder engagement and policy development skills.


Tertiary qualifications in a related field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, business, finance, commerce, or other field undertaking significant economic analysis, or equivalent experience is essential.
