About the role
We are currently seeking a Portfolio Retail Delivery Manager to join our Real Estate business on an open term basis, based in Melbourne.
This role is responsible for the successful and ongoing delivery of specialty shop fit outs in a timely, cost effective and safe manner across the QIC RE retail portfolio and development project pipeline.
The Portfolio Retail Delivery Manager is also responsible for leading a portion of the Retail Delivery Management team that report into this position.
This role will cover QIC's VIC, and ACT shopping centre portfolio including Eastland, Watergardens, Pacific Epping, Pacific Werribee, Woodgrove, Canberra Centre and other Retail Tenancy duties as required.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the Retail Delivery Management team, by providing direction, focus and maintain adherence to QIC tenancy delivery procedures and standards.
- Manage the Retail Delivery Management team, to ensure tenancies are delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with their target trading parameters, whilst promoting and improving tenant relations.
- Cultivate and work towards an inclusive and cooperative working relationship with Leasing, Asset and Retail Design Management and Coordination teams.
- Oversee the overall Retail Delivery Management cost estimates process for Landlord and tenant (Cat 1) works, as requested by the Leasing team.
- Ensure the Retail Delivery Management team works with Tenants to develop solutions within budget constraints while meeting QIC design briefs.
- Participate in meetings with Centre Management, Lease Executives and other internal teams to discuss Tenant issues and internal goals and strategies.
- Ensure Lease deal requirements are fully understood and managed by the Retail Delivery Managers within their area or control and influence.
- Track the activities of the Retail Delivery Management team to ensure accurate and timely completion of all tasks.
- Provide ongoing team planning and resourcing across operational and development project centres.
- Comply with QIC Work Health and Safety policies and guidelines including being alert to, identifying and proactively reporting any risks or hazards which may impact health and safety in the workplace.
About you
Ideally, we are looking for someone that has strong leadership and stakeholder management skills, ideally coming from another retail landlord background or possibly a construction & project management background.
Other skills and experience would include:
- Qualification in relevant building & property disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in the store design and delivery within a Retail Shopping Centre environment.
- Possess a high level of technical property operations expertise in trade or building services.
- Display a sound knowledge of building and operational property management regulations.
- Experience working with a retailer or landlord in store design and delivery.
- Ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
