SHL, the global leader in talent innovation, is seeking a Business Development Specialist to help build and maintain our sales pipeline and to help our cross-functional teamwork smarter.

Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Sales (ANZ) and collaborating closely with our commercial teams, you'll source, drive, and build relationships with prospects across key B2B verticals.

What you'll be doing:


  • Source new sales prospects and contact them to secure appointments and product demonstrations.
  • Contact potential customers captured and cultivated by the Marketing Team to secure appointments and product demonstrations.
  • Effectively communicate the value of our SHL products and services to prospective customers while learning about their needs to identify if there is a good fit.
  • Partner with Enterprise, Core, and Strategic Accounts teams to create customized plans to assist sales cycles and drive urgency.
  • Provide feedback to Marketing Team regarding the quality of marketingsourced leads.
  • Recruit key customer and prospect executives to webinars, virtual events, etc.

What we would like to recognize from you:

  • Degree in Business and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Proven experience in lead generation or business development.
  • Able to think strategically and tactically. Able to maintain a positive attitude in the face of criticism, rejection, or failure.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, writing), time management, and troubleshooting experience.
  • Able to effectively negotiate, promote/sell ideas persuasively.
  • Knowledge of how to establish credibility with seniorlevel executives.
  • Experience collaborating with and guiding crossfunctional teams (marketing, sales, customer success, etc.)
  • Experience with Excel
  • Knowledge of B2B solution buying cycles
  • Experience with Account-Based Marketing
