About the company:

Our client is a global mining company that operates in the oil and gas industry.


The role:

This role involves developing interactive project and portfolio management dashboards using Power BI, SAP/Snowflake databases, and potentially Planview.


Responsibilities:


  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to understand project and portfolio management data requirements.
  • Design and create data visualizations using Power BI that effectively communicate complex data insights.
  • Develop an overview dashboard that provides a comprehensive snapshot of project and portfolio performance.
  • Implement interactive drilldowns to explore SAP and Planview data housed in Snowflake, allowing users to access detailed information.
  • Configure filters and reporting options across multiple data tables to enable users to customize their view and extract relevant information.
  • Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and consistency of data visualizations by performing data validation and verification.
  • Incorporate user feedback and iterate on dashboard designs to enhance user experience and data accessibility.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in data visualization, incorporating them into your work as appropriate.

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, with a demonstrable portfolio of impactful and interactive dashboard creations.
  • Strong familiarity with databases related to SAP and Snowflake, including the ability to extract, transform, and load data.
  • Knowledge of Planview is a significant advantage and will be given preference.
  • Solid understanding of project and portfolio management concepts, data structures, and reporting requirements.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data visualizations for complex datasets.
