Our Federal Government Client is seeking a DevOps Automation Specialist
This is a long-term contract role of up to 30 June 2024, with an extension term of 12 months, located at our client's office in Canberra.
- Assist the Project team with the development and maintenance of DevOps continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines.
- Assist the Project team with the configuration and management of deployment environments in a repeatable and reliable manner.
- Participate in CASA's cloud migration work, support and further develop Azure pipelines for the ESB platform, SQL Server database and Web Apps.
- Identify further opportunities for automation within the software delivery process to improve and streamline service delivery.
- Working cooperatively and collaboratively with the ITB Teams, providing technical advice and support as required.
- Effective handover of automation activities to internal CASA staff.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Mandatory:
- Handson experience with developing and deploying Infrastructure As Code templates on Azure for automated resource provisioning.
- Handson experience in developing automated build and deployment pipelines using ARM Templates (JSON/BICEP) and Azure CLI
- Strong knowledge of Azure Cloud Platform and Technologies.
- Previous experience of DevSecOps tools and processes branching, version control, pipelines, quality gates and artifact management.
- Communicate with influence, demonstrated technical writing skills and demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical people.
- Desirable:
- Formal and recognised IT qualification.
- Proficient in SQL and/or NoSQL database technologies.
