DRA covers all major mining centres with offices across Africa and the Middle East, North and South America, Australia and the Asia-Pacific.

Currently seeking an Experienced or Senior Designer. The role is offered on an ongoing casual basis based in the Brisbane CBD office.

You will be involved with a diverse range of projects from concept studies, detailed design, procurement, construction, commissioning and ongoing operations within the mining and minerals processing sector.

Brief Duties:

Produce models and detailed technical drawings, in accordance with standards, policies and procedures
Communicate with the project team, provide updates, raise issues and attend team meetings
Deliver and contribute to practical solutions
Ensure project time and cost are met monitor effectiveness of designs, scheduling of work, resource requirements and review compliance with project execution plan (schedule) and client expectations
Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior team members
Demonstrate high standard of personal safety and safe design practices

About You:

5+ years relevant experience working on mining and minerals projects
Welldeveloped communication skills (written and verbal)
Excellent attitude, team focus and commitment towards safety
Proficiency in MicroStation design software highly desirable
Relevant Diploma or Associate Degree
Innovative thinker with the ability to work autonomously to deadlines
