Overview


The Technical Advisory Lead has accountability for the ongoing delivery for training and development for all capital markets staff and provides technical guidance on corporate action transactions.

The role will also be responsible for developing the delivery framework and processes to drive the delivery of quality documentation, as well as creating and maintaining strong relationships with key business stakeholders and industry participants.


Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus

  • Deliver and uphold training and development standards for capital markets staff
  • Review and provide ongoing process improvement, including system enhancements, process automation and procedural documentation,
  • Keep up to date with to ensure legislative and regulations and provide guidance
Operational Management

  • Key participant in management meetings, including Link Group wide meetings
  • Regular corporate actions planning meetings with the team
  • Operate as the primary point of contact for process specialists, SME's and Operational heads, with the goal of providing client satisfaction throughout this project
  • Engage the required resources, internal or vendor, to ensure the timely delivery of projects and documentation
  • Identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
  • Operate as a conduit for internal stakeholder for anything in relation to documentation of processes
  • Support the product/process development process through involvement in various project teams or working groups to finalise design elements and business requirements
  • Manage daytoday product and related operational issues and queries from clients, vendors and other Link stakeholders and teams
  • Provide support in maintaining a continuous improvement mindset and eliminating risks to the business by ensuring compliance with the organisation's policies and procedures
  • Ensure professional and thorough documentation is prepared
  • Log issues which are unable to be resolved by staff in Link IT
  • Manage investigations and keep the project work flow up to date
People Leadership

  • Organise and plan regular sessions to inform the Capital Markets staff for key transactions
  • Driving Training and Development of team including L&D management
  • General management duties including: attendance at management/staff/operations meetings; participating in projects; drafting/developing procedures documentation
  • Work with Business Analysts and Project Managers for new system enhancements
  • Provide department head with high level concept papers/quotes/analysis
Governance & Risk

  • Work with Link's compliance and tax department to provide LMS CM APAC an understanding of compliance, legislative, tax and listing rules guidance
  • Stay abreast of current industry trends and new regulations in order to analyse their impact on the business
  • Governance of internal Client engagement through regular meetings and reporting
  • Formulate concept papers to document requirements based on the initial impact assessment provided by the Compliance department
  • Assist with the preparation/review of client communication relating to compliance changes/updates

Experience & Personal Attributes

  • Experience in Operations and Management roles, in particular leading and managing programs of work in a corporate environment
  • Demonstrated ability to think and plan strategically with a commercial focus and respond to emerging issues and develop appropriate strategies and plans
  • Ability to maintain collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is required
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organisation (written and verbal)
  • Highly Professional approach and Customer Focused
  • Ability to approach issues and problems in an analytical and solutions focused manner
  • Work in a transparent and accountable manner
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in business, technology or management related area
