Position Information:


Muirfield High School (875 students, including 24% from non-English speaking background) is a comprehensive, coeducational school with highly supportive student welfare structures and respectful relationships.

With a broad curriculum, there is a strong proactive focus of collegial professional learning on quality teaching which engages and challenges all students.

The school has an emotional disturbance support unit with three classes with students from 7 to 12. Students in the support unit may be integrated into mainstream classes, depending on individual needs and plans.


Selection Criteria:


  • Approval to teach Agriculture and willingness to teach and Technology Mandatory (Years 7-8).
  • Demonstrated capacity to provide engaging and challenging differentiated lessons and programs to cater for student diversity
  • Proven ability to manage practical work spaces to ensure student safety, full participation and high levels of engagement in lessons.
  • Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with proven ability to build positive and productive working relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community.
