Position Information:

Birrong Boys High School currently has an enrolment of around 400 boys including 96% from a language other than English.

Our school has proud traditions of academic and sporting excellence.

Our highly experienced and motivated staff develop and deliver a broad curriculum aimed at meeting the needs of our diverse student population.

We have been able to develop and maintain significantly positive partnerships with our local TAFEs and Universities across Sydney, local historical and cultural institutions, businesses (particularly in the areas of engagement and vocational education) along with other community groups.

Selection Criteria:

Approval to teach Technology Mandatory Years 7 and
Demonstrated ability to build positive relations with students and challenge and engage them as learners through differentiated, innovative and effective teaching practices.
Demonstrated ability and evidence of effective classroom management and the capacity to create and maintain safe, supportive and inclusive learning environments that support students of all abilities and backgrounds.
Welldeveloped interpersonal, communication and organisation skills with the capacity to work as a collaborative member of the TAS faculty and contribute to whole school programs.
