About the Role
This position is responsible for connecting students with employment opportunities, to develop their job literacy and skills.

This is delivered both within and outside of their formal studies, through internships, practicums, case competitions, and innovative digital experiences.

The role provides an exciting opportunity to pilot and develop new ways of operating, to realise the faculty's strategy to significantly boost the number of students supported over the next few years.

The position will work closely with academic and professional staff, and lead a team of 7, with 3 direct reports, implement and administer programs alongside piloting new initatives.

The Manager will also work with external organizations to promote and grow practice-based education.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing initiatives to realise the Faculty's strategic plan to grow the Experiential program
  • Leading the team responsible for the delivery of employability programs and short course programs
  • Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance and streamline the delivery of experiential learning within the Faculty

Who we are looking for

You will also have:

  • Postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management expertise; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Outstanding management and leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to foster a collaborative and cooperative work environment and lead, coach and mentor team members, assess staff performance and attract and retain talented professionals.
  • Proven ability to develop strong and positive relationships and engage with, collaborate consult and negotiate with a broad group of internal and external stakeholders
