About the Role
The anaesthetic inventory assistant is a pivotal member of the inventory team at Dandenong theatre.

Responsible for the co-ordination and management of anaesthetic stock, instruments and related equipment that are crucial to the anaesthetic service.

The anaesthetic inventory assistant will work in direct consultation with the Nurse Manager to order all anaesthetic equipment and specific consumables.

No 2 days will be the same in this fast paced role, duties include but are not limited to:


  • Stock quantity management
  • Liaising with procurement/ company representatives/ following up outstanding orders
  • Specialised ordering
  • Annual stock management
  • Maintenance of inventory lists/ electronic files

About You
You will possess excellent administration skills, and have a background in customer service preferably in the health industry. As a highly organised, flexible and adaptable individual you possess excellent interpersonal skills and respond positively to changing needs.

A knowledge of medical terminology would aid you in this role, however an interest in the area of anaesthetic/inventory is essential.


What You Need:


  • Tertiary or other administration qualification, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar health (essential)
  • Experience in current inventory systems utilised within Monash Health iPROC, HTRAK and similar inventory scanning software (desirable)
  • Relevant working rights to Australia
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
