The Department of Regional NSW (DRNSW), NSW Department of Primary Industries (NSW DPI) Biosecurity & Food Safety division is responsible for effective management and risk minimisation of biosecurity threats to NSW as well as the through-chain regulation of food safety.

It delivers a risk-based approach to policy and compliance and provides regional engagement and coordination in response to emergency incidents impacting primary industries and the food sector.

The
Programs Officer is responsible for coordinating and providing a range of services related to managing the Food Regulation Partnership between local councils and the Food Authority.

The primary focus of the position will be to provide quality support services in achieving the strategic objectives of the unit.
