The Lead Risk Management Officer is integral in facilitating the development and effective implementation of the Mint's risk management framework.

Collaborating with the Assistant Director (Risk), they ensure the execution of current and future risk initiatives, addressing managerial reporting requirements, performance measurements and related responsibilities.

The duties of this position include:

Engaging and collaborating with stakeholders across the Mint, including conducting risk assessments specific to the Mint's operating model.
Ensuring that effective risk management practices are considered and embedded in the Mint's strategic objectives, operational goals and project performance.
Developing and implementing administrative processes and training material to support the effective utilisation, uptake and reform of the Mint's risk management procedures.
Producing analytical reports in support of senior management, committee and board oversight.
Conducting risk management workshops, focusing on bowtie analysis, the production of appetite and tolerance statements, and the development of key risk indicators.
Contributing to the design, implementation and evolution of Mint system frameworks, ensuring they are adaptable and responsive to emerging risks.
Identifying potential risks and challenges which may impact core business plans and activities, and evaluating and determining strategies to mitigate these risks.
Supporting senior management and producing forward work plans in support of Mint business planning.

Security clearance
This position requires a Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
