    About the Role


    As the Finance Business Partner, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the business' commercial finance business partnering capability. This involves collaborating with business leaders to identify key metrics, provide recommendations to shape the financial strategy for stability, and drive growth.


    You will be accountable for delivering high-quality commercial analysis and insights, focusing on revenue, gross profit, and expenses. These insights will be derived from strategic business developments, innovation, and various investment opportunities.


    Your responsibilities will also include supporting cash flow forecasting and planning, preparing monthly CEO and Board reports, conducting ad hoc financial analytics, and contributing to other business functions related to ongoing performance.

    Your Focus

    • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies aligned with business objectives, growth initiatives, and market dynamics.
    • Provide financial insights, analysis, and recommendations to facilitate key business decisions, new ventures, investments, and strategic partnerships both regularly and on an ad-hoc basis.
    • Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of projects, products, and markets to pinpoint growth opportunities, cost-saving measures, and areas for operational enhancement, while predicting and monitoring return on investment.
    • Participate in the annual budgeting process, engaging cross-functionally, including zero-based budgeting.
    • Monitor performance of relevant areas/projects against budget weekly and monthly to analyze revenue and cost variances, identify significant contributors to performance, and assess performance against key business metrics and assumptions.
    • Enhance financial literacy, promote data-driven decision-making, and ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational execution.
    • Develop financial models encompassing cash flow forecasts, revenue/expense planning, and various scenarios and trends.


    About You

    • Extensive experience in commercial finance/business partnering roles within professional services and dynamic corporate environments.
    • Advanced business acumen enabling comprehension of customer, financial, and operational data to drive data-informed decisions.
    • Ability to articulate problem statements from ambiguous information to guide teams in delivering insightful recommendations.
    • Prior experience in marketing services, media, or related industries is highly beneficial.
    • Demonstrated success in partnering with senior leaders of large organizations and effectively managing stakeholders in a complex matrix setting.
    • Adept at translating complex strategic and financial concepts for general business audiences.
    • Strategic thinker capable of balancing short-term operational needs with long-term strategic objectives.
    • Results-oriented individual who excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with PowerQuery, PowerBI, and Dynamics365 is desirable.
    • CA/CPA Australia qualified.
