ZEISS ANZ offers market leading products in the Consumer Optics industries, Medical Technology and Microscopy and we are excited to present an opportunity to join our Vision Care team as a Business Development Representative.


Melbourne based, this role requires a dynamic and motivated individual who excels at connecting with the market, pursuing, and gaining new business, whilst developing partnerships with our customers within a team-oriented focus.

Self-initiation, self-organization, follow through and shows a sense of urgency are qualities required for this role.


Experience in optical dispensing, orthoptics or optometry is advantageous, thus be an asset to our customers along with the ability to clearly communicate through all levels of our customers businesses is important.


Working together with a strong team of; customer service, professional development, marketing, and business support, you will be required to ensure our customers continue to receive the best solutions and support.


This full-time role is in field based, (not office based), requiring the BDR to be well organized in territory planning and implementation.

Daily activities include travel within the territory, face to face meetings, virtual meetings, and education sessions (phone, skype, teams). Intrastate and interstate travel is required with occasional extended hours events and weekend events such as trade shows.


REQUIREMENTS:


  • Tertiary education in business, commercial or optometry along with optometrist, orthoptist or optical dispensing are highly desirable
  • Proven experience as Professional Sales, Business Development Representative, Customer experience / service or similar role
  • Track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and handson experience employing multiple sales techniques
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce) and working knowledge of MS Office suite is essential, especially Excel, word and Outlook.
  • Excellent questioning skills, communication, negotiation skills, analytical skills and ability to deliver engaging presentations
  • Valid driver's license, reliable motor vehicle and able to travel inter and intrastate
