We have a unique opportunity within our Medical Division for a dynamic clinical professional based in Western Australia to join our team, covering both Western Australian and South Australian.

As a Clinical Application Specialist you will primarily be responsible for the technical and clinical training support of our diagnostic portfolio, including associated software programs, for existing ophthalmic & optometric clinic based customers.


  • The key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):_
  • Providing thorough ongoing inservice training to customers and users
  • Supporting the sales team to secure new opportunities and expanding existing installations
  • Assisting the sales team to provide prospective customers with accurate information and sensible solutions
  • Helping to identify, develop and support key customer opinion leaders for ZEISS solutions.
  • Delivering a strong mix of clinical support & account management
  • Maintaining a regular presence in the ophthalmic and optometric markets in order to obtain customer input about new procedures, technologies and trends to support strengthening our professional relationships
  • Attending scientific conferences and sponsored events
  • Liaising closely with the service department to ensure that customer problems are solved quickly
  • Regular travel within WA and SA; occasional travel across ANZ.
  • The key skills desired for this role:_
  • Previous allied health experience with strong technical and clinical expertise
  • University degree within a relevant field is preferred
  • Developed knowledge of clinic workflows & patient management
  • Excellent teaching, motivation and team building capabilities
  • Continuous learning orientation, keeping abreast of new and emerging technologies
  • Welldeveloped analytical, diagnostics and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills


Previous ophthalmic clinical training experience is ideal, however your initiative, energy, passion and genuine desire to provide exceptional service will be the key to your success in this important role.
