About the role
Reporting to the Head of Sales, the National Account Manager - Grocery will drive sales and profit growth with the Coles and Woolworths accounts across all of the categories where products are ranged.
Key responsibilities
- Development of customer business plans, ensuring effective promotional planning and alignment on retailer investment
- Build and foster strong functional relationships with all key stakeholders within the customer
- Manage and review customer P&L focusing on trade spend within budgeted guidelines
- Input into commercial planning and leadership of the category review process
- Work closely with the Demand Planning/Inventory management team in ensuring accurate monthly forecasting and clearance of aged inventory
- Maintain strong and effective relationships cross functionally
- Manage the relationship planning and communication to third party field teams
- Lead and manage Account Executive providing support in achievement of role objectives and ongoing development plans are in place
Your experience
- You will be an experienced FMCG Account Manager with previous experience managing national Coles or Woolworths accounts
- Demonstrable success growing profitable business in multiple categories consistently achieving both revenue and profit objectives
- Strong and effective relationship builder at all levels within the customer and with internal stakeholders
- Deep understanding of the category review process, analytically strong with an ability to identify trends and opportunities in market and instore
- Effectively manage pricing and promotional effectiveness to ensure return on investment
- Utilise numerical ability and forecasting experience to ensure inventory availability at key promotional periods
You will be a collaborator, you will hold yourself to account for the results, always doing what is right for the brands, the consumer, your customer and your teammates.
Communication will be open and respectful, and you will be creative in seeking new ways to bring value to your customer and the business.
