We are the state's leading provider of specialist care for children with acute and chronic conditions as well as being SA's largest maternity and obstetric service.


Our community-based services also reach hundreds of thousands of babies, children and young people, their families and communities across South Australia through our various services and programs in areas such as our Mental Health, Child & Family Health services, Youth Health and Aboriginal Health services.

The Opportunity


We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Allied Health & Aboriginal Liaison (AHAL) team as an
Infant Nutrition Attendant in a
Part Time Contract capacity.


As an Infant Nutrition Attendant you will be responsible for a high standard of work, providing a timely and efficient service and undertaking duties in a range of activity areas.


The Infant Nutrition Attendants are rostered to work in either the Formula Room (FR) or Expressed Breast Milk (EBM) Room areas of the Food Service Department.

Tasks may vary from day to day from the following responsibilities:


  • When rostered in the Formula Room they prepare and deliver infant and specialised formula, enteral feeds and other special fluids, as well as cleaning and processing equipment and baby bottles.
  • When rostered in the Expressed Breast Milk Room they manage the storage, labelling and fortification of Expressed Breast Milk and Pasteurised Donor Human Milk as well as completing delivery and cleaning duties.

About You
You will be rostered over a seven-day roster working either an early or late shift.


To be successful in this role, you should have experience in a relevant food service environment in a health care setting that involves following infection control practices, food safety and to use them.

You should have ability to work in a team and to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
