About the Role:
The Property Officer is responsible for the leasing of excess properties that are underutilised within the Institute's multiple campuses. This includes both short term hire of the facilities or a longer-term
occupancy. This position interacts with potential tenants/licence holders/lessees to negotiate terms,
rates and outgoings and ensures that the Institute's facilities are occupied at a capacity to avoid
vacancies.
Duties:
- Execute effective leasing strategies to optimise occupancy rates, attract and retain
- Lease negotiation and administration, handle lease negotiations, including rent agreements/licences, lease renewals and lease terminations. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements throughout the leasing process.
- Prepare and maintain lease documentation and records.
- Tenant relationship management by building and maintaining positive relationships with

Skills and Experience Required:
- Strong stakeholder management skills and demonstrated ability to produce quality
- Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with tenants, address inquiries,
- Ability to negotiate lease terms, rental rates, and other contractual details with potential
- Knowledge of property laws, regulations, and lease agreements to ensure compliance and
- Ability to calculate rental yields, and manage budgets related to leasing and space hiring.
