Your part in The Wesley Hospital team

  • Reporting to the Group Coding Manager, this position will act as the lead on Clinical Coding operational activities at The Wesley Hospital and support with coding process improvements and initiatives for the Hospitals Coding Service.
  • You will proactively liaise with clinicians and other health professionals and participate in routine audits and reviews of coded data to ensure the consistency, quality and accuracy of coding. Leading the team of eight Clinical Coders, you will also supervise and support the training of new and less experienced coders, working as a team to ensure monthly and daily targets are met.
    What makes a difference for us?
  • Bachelor of Health Information Management (HIM) or equivalent HIMAA Accrdited Clinical Coding Certification
  • Extensive knowledge of ICD10AM, ACHI, ACS, AR-DRGs
  • Previous experience coding in a hospital environment
  • Experience with 3M Codefinder
