Salary range:
$147,265 to $168,563 plus statutory super

The Financial Services Manager/CFO has primary responsibility for all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activity for VIT, payroll services and ensuring the integrity of financial systems, policies, and processes.

This also includes direct responsibility for managing associated risks and compliance with the required Victorian Government and Australian Accounting Standards.

The Financial Services Manager/Chief Financial Officer role offers an outstanding career opportunity for a professional who is passionate about using their expertise and leadership to support VIT in its regulation of Victorian teachers.


About you
As an experienced ACA/CPA, you will have sound and practical knowledge of public sector-related Australian Accounting Standards (AASs).

You will have experience leading a team and be confident in delivering reports to both the Executive team and the Audit / Risk committee.


  • Highlevel strategic focus and commercial acumen
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills

This role will require you to:

  • Manage financial administration and provide expert financial advice.
  • Ensure financial compliance.
  • Manage internal and external audit relationships as they relate to financial compliance and risk.
  • Manage the wholeofgovernment financial accountability.
  • Inform the Department of Education and Training by providing factual financial information.
  • Lead, develop and resource a highperforming, collaborative Financial Services team.
  • Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders.
