Description
The Transport and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Operations Manager to schedule and book jobs. On time and to budget.

The Transport and Logistics Coordinator works closely with the Operations Manager to deliver improvements across systems and the factory floor.


This position would suit a recent Tafe or university graduate with a certificate or degree in business, event management or administration, with - 2 years office experience.

This is a role that will allow you to see all sides of the company.

You will work closely with our team of installers and factory workers, as well as the project managers and designers.

It is a fast-paced environment that requires you to be accurate and organised yet flexible and on-the-ball.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage and coordinate event logistics, including venue and supplier negotiation/bookings, planning, team coordination, budgeting and troubleshooting conflicts and issues as they arise
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and partners
  • Scheduling and booking all logistics for projects (site services, transport, storage, labour hire, onsite requirements, flights and accommodation)
  • Management of warehouse bays and inventory
  • Managing dock slots and venue access
  • Office admin tasks such as creating purchase orders and ordering supplies
  • Coordinating timesheeting and rostering with the Operations Manager
  • Inducting/training of workers on systems and procedures alongside the Operations Manager
  • Assisting Operations Manager where necessary

Experience:


  • Previous experience using a variety of software including the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Previous experience in reporting and analytics
  • Previous experience in budget management
  • Previous experience in logistics or similar field
  • Forklift license
  • Strong command of English in writing and verbally.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Work well under pressure, sometimes to very tight deadlines

Pay:
$60, $80,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
