About the Opportunity
Bowral & District Hospital is seeking an experienced Human Resources Officer to join the team, a positive individual who will make a real difference to the Bowral Community.
We are looking for someone who can build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders and can become a person of influence in the role.
You will provide exceptional customer service and have an eagerness to develop and build on your skills and experience within Human Resources.
You will be highly engaged with the wider team and local community and able to form connections.The role provides you the opportunity to support a team of employees and volunteers and ensures no two days are the same in this exciting role.
The team at Bowral & District Hospital are dedicated to their community, have a strong focus on staff and patient experience, where staff are supported to achieve their full potential.
You will be working with a supportive manager and extended team and have the opportunity to work closely with a range stakeholders from volunteers to senior executive.
Working at a small rural hospital such as Bowral offers you a vast range of opportunities within the role which are not available at a large metro hospital.
What You'll be Doing
The Human Resources Officer provides advice and support to managers and employees on a range of workforce related matters.
The position holder provides administrative and clerical support to the Human Resources Department to enable the effective delivery of services to Bowral & District Hospital.

- Relevant qualifications, or working towards such and/or experience in Human Resources or Business Management.
- Strong customer service skills with an ability to build trust, credibility and confidence with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, through highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant employment and industrial relations legislation, WHS Legislation and relevant NSW Health industrial instruments and policies.
- Advanced computer skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint as well as experience with Human Resources Information Systems, Recruitment and Rostering systems, Record Management systems, learning managements systems.
- Demonstrated ability to accurately prepare a range of complex documents including briefs, letters, minutes, referral notes and reports to a high standard ensuring attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems, make decisions that lead to the development of innovative solutions to workplace issues.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently with limited direction as to work priorities with demonstrated experience managing and meeting deadlines.
