The Role


As part of the growing eCom Marketing team within Woolies X, you will be responsible for delivering eCom Marketing campaigns to drive new customer acquisition within our eCom Customer base.

You will be joining a team in a fast paced environment where you are encouraged to innovate and push the boundaries to deliver best in class outcomes.

You will have a strong knowledge of campaign communications development, digital channels and media management.

  • 12month fixed term contract role About the role: _
  • Work with the Analytics, Brand and Propositions team to leverage key insights and deliver relevant messaging across key customer segments.
  • Work with our internal and external media and creative agencies to develop and optimise highly relevant campaigns, to achieve key business metrics.
  • End to end management of above the line campaigns based on the customer calendar across paid, earned and owned channels
  • Management of the through the line always on media strategies, aligning and leveraging actionable insights and analysis to deliver efficient and effective media buying.
  • Partner with the Brand and Marketing team to integrate eCom as a way to shop under the group brand. Focusing on key seasonal and strategic brand campaigns
  • Track, report and measure key metrics through the funnel to deliver eCom new customer acquisition and other business KPIs
  • Manage and build stakeholders relationships including brand, media, commercial, operations, logistics and experience teams to align and optimise activity.
  • End to end budget management and ROI analysis across all activities.

About you


Fluent in the marketing discipline, you will be passionate about delivering customer and business outcomes through collaboration and innovation with the ability to deliver an effective omni channel experience for our customers.

You lead by example, have exceptional organisational skills and enjoy partnering with stakeholders to deliver results.


You will have past experience working in ecommerce businesses, with proven experience delivering end-to-end marketing campaigns across a large complex organisation including strong experience in through the line media and campaign management.


What you will bring to the role:

  • +7 years experience in marketing, ideally within eCommerce or services including digital and offline channels.
  • Tertiary qualified in relevant discipline (Business/Commerce/Marketing etc.).
  • Results and customer focused marketer with strong financial and commercial acumen who leverages insights to prioritise and make decisions
  • Have a handson "roll your sleeves up and get it done" attitude who collaborates with direct team
  • A passion for collaboration and ability to manage competing priorities with the appropriate prioritisation against business objectives.
  • Growth mindset in a fast paced and everchanging environment
  • Pragmatic and influential nature when dealing with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to navigate complex environments to deliver outcomes
  • An understanding of owned channel ecosystem and how to best leverage for results
  • Strong media and campaign management experience
  • Strong management and briefing agencies on budget to create optimal media and channel plans, including development of KPI's.
  • Understanding of how to use above the line media campaigns to drive new customer acquisition

Additional valued capabilities:

  • Experience working in an Agile work environment
  • Previous eCommerce Marketing experience in retail, services or alike
  • Experience in using web analytics tools (Adobe, Google) to analyse campaign performance.
  • Experience with Mobile first design and customer centric UX.
