So what happens next ?

Whether you live in Winter or in Summer

In Snow

Or at the beach

Everyone can celebrate

Where ever you may be

But if you celebrate too much

Beware of the 101 Dachshunds
That will creep into your dreams

Even though they are weenie

They have big HEARTS                                                                         Santa comes to Snaggers too !
Are royal and very loyal
And everything in between

We wish you all the best for 2018

Scapa who is fussy and eats the wet food first

I think purposeful living is the only way to live !

Louise

For contentment and meaningful lives people need to

20345211.jpg- have a routine
- know themselves well to deal with situations beyond their    control
-  stand up to bullying
- be creative
- be curious
-  know how to relax to destress.

Many people do not live with a purpose as they

- are too busy coping with life to think, to plan or do       something about it
- have other priorities like looking after the kids, older parents, pay the mortgage, catch up on sleep, work long hours
- care more about what other 's think and if others don't approve, they are stuck
- have mental health issues and find it hard to get out of bed each day
- have very poor self esteem so can't even contemplate that it would be possible for them to change
- have no home or support from family, friends or colleagues

8a003dab.jpg
- have no goals
-find it too scary to change
- have no vision
-  have no perseverance and give up to easily
- have no thinking or analysis or intutition skills,
meaning they don't have a clue where to start & what to do
- a lot of people are just stuck and become victims to their     own misery

Some people have given up to look for a purpose in life...

Thinking it will never happen, they are too old or it does not even exist

So in 2018 if you meet these people try to help them

- work out their goals to go with their values

4e53a454.jpg
- explore possibilities
- overcome obstacles
- learn coping strategies and assertiveness
- as a mentor and coach them with positive comments  pointing out progress

One step forward and 2 steps back, one step forward and 2 steps back, one step forward and 2 steps back

One step forward
                               Another step forward
                                                                    Yet  another step forward

                                                                                                                 Small steps forward
                                                                                                                                                      Progress

Small steps  forward
                                     Progress

Sometimes you are not responsible for the finished product
as
you, too, are a small step in the chain

you too will gain as

to help,

you need to first learn what's needed

and

that is how you grow

Yes Nicole Chardenet Thanks for the mindful positive thinking reminder! It's helpful and relaxing to be grateful for what we have that is good in our lives whether concrete or abstract. Then we don't "have" to want what we think we might need ! Best wishes for 2018 !

'Purpose'...an illusive quantity as I age, I have to say, dear Louise Smith. You're right in saying that it really helps to focus on others in need than yourself - great advise! Happy new year to you :)

Well put Louise Smith! I've been fortunate to have many wonderful years and I many of us experience set backs from time to time. 2017 was certainly a set back but it's also been a reflective time. I'm setting my clock forward in 2018! :))
