Position arising due to employee relocation
Diocese of Toowoomba Catholic Schools is looking for an innovative, service motivated, experienced conference centre coordinator.


About the role
The role is focused on ensuring that event organisers and facilitators are provided with the highest level of professional support, and has responsibility for
- end to end liaison for all bookings
- the set-up and break-down of all events including moving and storage of furniture
- fulfilling specific requests for the setup, use and general troubleshooting of integrated AV and IT
- proposing and implementing development opportunities that maximise the use of the Micah Conference Centre
- identifying and developing promotional materials for the Micah Conference Centre
- representing Toowoomba Catholic Schools in the coordination, promotion and networking associated with Micah Conference Centre.

About the Micah Conference Centre


The Micah Conference Centre is located within the St Patrick's Cathedral precinct and is managed by the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office.


With a total theatre style capacity of 170, and the flexibility to create a range of configurations through the use of moveable, soundproof doors the Centre is currently used by the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office for school staff professional development, meetings and events.

Additionally, the Centre is used by Catholic schools and colleges, other Catholic agencies and associated external networks and groups.

State-of-the-art AV and IT is integrated into the Centre along with a professional commercial kitchen.

Selection criteria
- empathy with Catholic ethos and values
- demonstrated experience in conference centre management including managing bookings, completing the set-up and break-down of events and managing the logistics and using associated IT, catering and stationery resources
- demonstrated experiences in coordinating development opportunities that maximise the use of conference facilities whilst maintaining the quality of service and facilities
- demonstrated experience in creating promotional opportunities for conference facilities and events
- demonstrated high level skills in collaboration and communication across a range of stakeholders
- a current resume
- a response to each of the selection criteria
- the contact details for two referees (we may contact these people prior to interview)

Employment will be in accordance with the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office Enterprise Agreement
